On March 18, 2019, the Annual Meeting was held for new and existing members. During the first portion of the meeting, memberships were purchased and renewed. Welcome all new members!
The treasurer gave a report for the financial year of 2018/2019. This included insurance costs, membership costs, grant expenditures, and ending balances of the year.
The Outgoing President gave comments and project updates. This included updates on the fencing and excavation and moving of dirt of the range. In 2018, our goals included to (1) continue fencing the range, (2) dirtwork of the range, (3) construction of the shooting structures and benches, and (3) increasing membership and community outreach. Several work days had been designated for moving dirt, putting up fencing, and building target stands. A few events were held that invited community members to join the club.
Three seats were up for election as Jim Wycoff, Travis Burks, and Jerry White Sr. had served their respective terms as officers. Jerry White Sr. ran for re-election and was voted on as officer for another term. Michael Glore and Paul Wilbanks were voted on to serve as officers for a term. Welcome our new board of directors!
Comments from the members included future events and making work that needs to be done available to increase member participation. The 2019 Board of Directors set goals and objective for 2019/2020 based on the comments: (1) Development of Range to include fencing, dirtwork, shooting structures, and transition of shotgun range, (2) Public Outreach to include defined training and event calendar, making contact information for range more accessible, and to schedule more training, events, and activities, (3) Development of a new website.
